Dr. Hifjur Raheman is an excellent teacher and researcher in the specialization of Farm Machinery and Power, Agricultural and Food Engineering Department (Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India-721302). He did his graduation in Agricultural Engineering from College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, (OUAT)-Bhubaneswar, India. He did his masters in the discipline of Farm Machinery and Power in the Agricultural and Food Engineering Department, IIT Kharagpur, India. He started his research activities since 1985. His contributions in last 34 years are in the areas of improved tillage and planting equipment, solar energy operated implements, traction improvement in power tillers and tractors, sensor development for precision farming, biofuel production and utilization of renewable energy in farms.
